Game Day is Our Day! Today is Game Day! Today is Our Day! Fast pitch season opens today for Savage Softball 2024 as the Muldrow Lady Bulldogs visit Broken Bow for varsity and junior varsity games. Coach Jake Harris's Savages will field a potent lineup full of returning starters and talented newcomers. This year's team is loaded with experienced athletes wielding big bats, strong arms, and reliable gloves. Seniors Haylie Brantley, Kennedee Brittian, Mailayah Carney, Raylee Gaston, and Jaxie Glasson will lead the Savages with a terrific mix of athleticism and field savvy. Harris also has a roster full of talented younger players like sophomore Mylee Williams and freshman Khloe Williams, both expected to see regular action this season, and transfer sophomore Jaylen Cauthron should be a fixture behind the plate. Sophomore hurler Tyson Woolsey is sidelined temporarily with an injury but will return to action in a couple of weeks, joining Carney to give the Savages a pair of aces on the mound. Excitement is building and expectations are high for this talented team. Broken Bow Schools encourages fans of all ages to come out and support these ladies as they launch their season this evening at the softball stadium. First pitch is at 4:30 P.M. with both varsity and junior varsity games scheduled. #GameDay #BatterUp #AlwaysSavage

Broken Bow Public Schools is putting “the love of learning” back into education one program at a time. Mrs. Kiper, a teacher at Bennett Elementary, is heading up the schools new STEAM class for grades 3rd-5th. Students will go to STEAM twice a week for 45 minutes. STEAM Education is an approach to teaching and learning that combines science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math to guide student inquiry, discussion, and problem-solving. Education experts say STEAM education is about more than developing practical skills alone. This approach helps students explore and learn in ways that spark creativity and imagination!✨ #SavageInnovation #BrilliantAtBennett

Olympic champions often wind up on a cereal box but when politics denied Broken Bow’s James “Bullet” Butler his opportunity to win Olympic gold, he wound up inside the cereal box instead. https://hpj.com/2024/08/07/butlers-gold-wheat-variety-celebrates-oklahoma-olympian/

🎮On the first day of Esports class, students learned how to set up an Esports room! Thanks to generous contributions by Broken Bow administration, we had a lot of equipment to set up and these kids were up to the task! Students learned lessons on teamwork, following written and verbal directions as well as the all important skill of cable management. If it looks like chaos, it's because it was, but the students had an air of excitement: The season is just getting started!
