🏆The Road to the Big House Continues.
🏀Following impressive district wins over Poteau on Friday night, Broken Bow Varsity Basketball heads to Sallisaw for sub-regional games this Thursday night.
The Lady Savages (19-6) tip off at 6:00 PM against the host team, unranked Sallisaw (17-8), to determine who will advance on to Saturday's regional championship game in Muldrow to face the winner of #4 Locust Grove (22-1) vs unranked Muldrow. Sallisaw defeated unranked Wagoner 34-25 in district play last weekend to advance into Thursday's game against Broken Bow.
The Savages face off against #14 Wagoner (15-7) at 7:30 PM Thursday night. The winner advances to the regional finals in Muldrow on Saturday to face the winner of #6 Stilwell (19-4) vs unranked Muldrow. Wagoner defeated unranked Sallisaw 72-48 for the district title on Saturday night.
The Oklahoma state basketball playoffs are a double-elimination tournament, meaning that teams must lose twice to be eliminated. Losers of Thursday's sub-regional games will play in consolation bracket games on Friday night in Muldrow.

🏆Senior Savage wrestler Jaden Allen cemented his place at the State Wrestling tournament in dramatic form in a consolation Semifinal match this afternoon. Allen, trailing 4-1 with 30 seconds left in the match and underneath his opponent, collected his opponent’s elbows for a roll. He then reversed his opponent to his back to secure the pin for the win!
👉🏼Jaden becomes the first ever BBHS boys wrestler to qualify for OSSSA state tournament. He wrestles in the 165-pound weight division.
Allen competes tonight at 6pm in the consolation finals in the 4A East Regioanls at Catoosa. This match will determine his bracket positioning at the 4A State tournament next weekend.

Yesterday our choir students competed at District Solo and Ensemble Contest in Ada. We are extremely proud of them and their efforts. They represented Broken Bow very well. OSSAA State Contest here we come! A huge thank you to Stefanie Jones for being our awesome accompanist and Harley Jr Thomas for getting us there and home safely!


The Broken Bow #Wrestling Team is at the Class 4A East Regionals in Catoosa.
🤼Jaden Allen does a roll through cradle to secure near fall points in his quarter final match. Allen is 2-0 on the first day of wrestling.
He will wrestle in the semifinals tomorrow (Saturday)!
🤼Gavin O’Niell up next with a Savage leg takedown. Gavin is 1-1 on the first day of wrestling and will wrestle in the consolation round on Saturday.

🏀The Broken Bow Savages used a 23-3 run in the second quarter to blow open a close game, en route to a 74-40 rout of the Poteau Pirates in the district championship game Friday night!
Jaxson McDaniel scored 18 points and Greydon Howell added 17 in just three quarters of action.
Up next for the Savages are sub-regionals in Sallisaw on Thursday night.


🏀The Broken Bow Lady Savages used a smothering defensive press and balanced scoring to dominate the Poteau Lady Pirates 72-13 and capture the district championship Friday night! The Lady Savages held Poteau scoreless for a 13 minute stretch, which included the entire third period.
Next up for Broken Bow is sub-regionals at Sallisaw on Thursday.

📣CHEER TRYOUT PREP CLINIC 📣
These clinics are designed to help prepare athletes trying out for cheer this upcoming season. I will focus on motion technique, jump execution, crowd engagement, voice projection, cleaning basic tumbling skills, and sharing knowledge about what judges are looking for (the things I’ve learned through years of experience)!
The goal of the clinic is to prepare your athlete to be their BEST most confident self during their tryout!
Open to any middle school or high school student!
Cost will be $15 per athlete per class
Clinic dates will be on Thursdays @ 6:00 p.m.
Starting February 27th and will continue through the month of March! Come to as many classes as you want!!

🏀The state basketball playoffs get underway this weekend for Class 4A teams in Oklahoma. Poteau visits Broken Bow for a district title tonight with tipoff scheduled for 6:00 PM.
Come out tonight to cheer on our teams in their final home games of this season. Due to restrictions by the state organization, the games will not livestream on our YouTube channel tonight. Follow the comments on this thread for more information.

🔸Tonight is AILYC Royalty Night in Jinkins Auditorium! Everyone is invited to come enjoy this traditional cultural event!


Members of the JAG officer team met on Valentine's Day and delivered socks and handmade Valentine's cards to the residents of Hill Nursing Home in Idabel. They then delivered blankets to DaVita in Idabel for the dialysis patients there. One of the foundational principles of JAG is community service, and these officers and the members of JAG love doing good for the county!


🌟POSTER WINNERS! For Black History Month, the 8th grade students in Mrs. Swafford's History class have been honing their research skills to uncover more about those who have made history.
In Mrs. Nalley's ELA class, the students then transferred this research to a poster using Canva. After submitting their designs and meeting certain criteria, the teachers voted on the posters below as winners:
