🏀It's Game Day!
It is Championship Saturday at the Class 4A Area III Basketball Regionals in Muldrow and both Broken Bow varsity teams are in action tonight with critical area tournament seeds at stake for next weekend.
The thirteenth-ranked Lady Savages (21-6) will face off against #4 Locust Grove (23-1) in the opener tonight. The Lady Pirates bring a 22-game winning streak into the game against the red hot Lady Savages, winners of their last seven games by an average score of 62-32. The action tips off at 6PM tonight in Muldrow.
In the boys championship, unranked Muldrow, upset winners over #6 Stilwell on Thursday, will try to use that momentum and their home court advantage against the #17 Savages (20-6). In order to do so, the Bulldogs must find a way to stop sensational Savage sophomore Greydon Howell, who scored 37 points to carry his team to victory in Thursday night's sub-regional game against #14 Wagoner.
Tonight's winners are just one win away from qualifying for the state championship tournament. The losing teams are still alive but must win three straight area consolation games next weekend to make it to state.
Due to restrictions set forth by the OSSAA, we will not livestream tonight's games. However, the boys game will be streamed by KXMX Radio (Muldrow local) on their Facebook page. Unfortunately, no livestream is available for the girls championship game.

The Broken Bow boys brought home both the varsity and freshmen championships at the Panama Powerlifting Meet. The Savages head into the postseason with some powerful momentum.

🏀REGIONAL READY: Lady Savage Sophomores Tyson Woolsey and Jaylen Cauthron combined for 39 points and 22 rebounds Thursday night as the Broken Bow girls defeated Sallisaw 55-34 to advance into Saturday night’s regional championship game against Class 4A #4 Locust Grove!
In boys action, it was another sensational Sophomore, Greydon Howell, who carried his team to victory over the fourteenth-ranked Wagoner Bulldogs, 60-51, and will face #6 Stilwell on Saturday night in the regional finals at Muldrow!

⚾️SAVAGE BASEBALL: We will play tomorrow (scrimmage) at Wright City at 11:00. This is dependent on the WC Basketball Boys. If they win we will not play.
Regarding Opening Day on Monday vs. Poteau. The game time has been changed to 4:30 and will be a Varsity Doubleheader due to likelihood of bad weather in both locations on Tuesday.
This also helps us not have to cancel non-district V/JV games later in the year to fit in a district game.

Go Savages!

🤼♂️Savage Senior Jaden Allen wrestles today in the Oklahoma State Championship Wrestling Meet. Way to Go Jaden and Coach Lasell! You make us #SavageProud !!!

🏀The state basketball playoffs continue this weekend for Class 4A teams in Oklahoma. Broken Bow travels to Sallisaw for a pair of sub-regional games tonight. The Lady Savages will face unranked Sallisaw with tipoff scheduled for 6:00 PM. The varsity boys will follow with a matchup against #14 Wagoner. The regional site for the remainder of the weekend will be in Muldrow.
Due to restrictions by the state governing organization, the games will not livestream on our YouTube channel tonight.

Dear RJMS Parents/Guardians,
We are quickly approaching the time of the year that we are required to assess each student in English Language Arts (ELA), Math and for 8th graders, also Writing and Science. Below you will find our OSTP testing dates.
We plead with you to make sure that your child is here on those dates but also the dates leading up to those tests. Teachers are currently reviewing content with your students in preparation for these tests. Attendance is a must so please refrain from checking your child out for reasons that are unnecessary. Doing so completely shifts the dynamics of the schedule that we’ve worked hard to secure.
Success is not defined by these tests, however, we are extremely confident that each child has the ability to demonstrate growth. YOUR CHILD is completely capable of showing growth. YOUR CHILD can do hard things. We are so proud of our students for the work they’ve put in this year.
A positive mindset sets the tone on test days. Please encourage your child and we too will continue to do the same.
RJMS OSTP Test Dates:
April 16th (Wednesday)- ALL DAY - 8th Grade Science OSTP
April 21st (Monday)- ALL DAY - 6th/7th/8th ELA OSTP
April 22nd (Tuesday) - Morning only - 8th Grade Writing OSTP
April 29th (Tuesday) - ALL DAY - 6th/7th/8th MATH OSTP
ALSO, due to the number of teachers needed to test all of our students according to testing regulations, we will also be testing SOME of our students on the dates listed below. The student testing on these dates will be individually notified by the Teacher(s) testing them.
April 23rd (Wednesday) - ALL DAY - ELA - Small Group
April 30th (Wednesday) - ALL DAY - MATH - Small Group
PLEASE save ALL the dates above and make sure your RJMS student is at school and on time for those dates.
We express our sincere gratitude for your help with this request.
Sincerely,
Belinda Highful, RJMS Principal of Instruction

Today, three of our FCCLA students had an incredible experience at the Oklahoma State Capitol! They developed leadership skills, learned about advocacy and government relations, and even had the opportunity to meet with Eddy Dempsey. He gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the House of Representatives lounge, the floor, and the 4th-floor rotunda while sharing his inspiring backstory. What an amazing opportunity to advocate for Family and Consumer Sciences education and FCCLA, the Ultimate Leadership Experience!
