💥🎮Broken Bow ESports are going to STATE!
Over two days, Savages competed in Street Fighter 6, Halo, and Divine Knockout. We lost out in Street Fighter and Halo, but both of out teams in Divine Knockout will be traveling to OKC in December to represent our school at state! These two teams have an intense rivalry with each other.
🎮Team 1, consisting of Gunner Pope, Alex Abeyta, and Hunter Haltom went undefeated in the regular season, but lost one match in the playoffs against
🎮Team 2. Team 2 consists of Seth Sanders, Colt Haltom, and Cooper Kemp. In the regular season, they lost to Team 1, but beat them in the final match of the playoffs!
These two teams are gonna settle this rivalry once and for all at state in December!⚡️
We want to make a point to thank Broken Bow administration. Both Ms. Ellisor and Mr. Hanks who came to watch and support these kids and for that, the entire team is forever thankful.
As always, it's a great day to be a Savage!

We had several students who traveled to Midwest City for the final round of OkCDA Junior High All-State (7th-9th grade) today. We also had several students who recorded auditions for OkMEA Children’s All-State(4th-8th grade) back in October. I am proud to announce that Broken Bow had 8 students selected for these choirs! I am so proud of everyone who auditioned regardless of being selected or not! It takes a lot of courage to step into a room and allow yourself to be judged by strangers. With that being said, please help me congratulate the following students:

💥The BBHS Savage Quizbowl team is going to Area!!
They battled hard this past Saturday at the Regional tournament in Poteau. There were some nail-biting matches, including a sudden-death win over Sallisaw at the end of the tournament. With only one loss, they came out with a 3rd place finish, earning a spot in the
Area tournament that will take place in January.
Way to go, Savages!!!
Please help me congratulate the following students who were selected out of thousands of students across the state of Oklahoma from both large schools and small ones as the best of the best!
This is an extremely competitive process and a very prestigious honor. All of the students that were selected for the mixed choir are ranked with one of the top 25 scores in their voice part from the many talented singers across the whole state. If they were selected for treble choir, they ranked between the 26th highest score and 55th. Many colleges seek this list to start their recruiting process!

All of my students make me so proud. They look out for one another and while trying to pursue something that is very much an individual thing, they work as a team. I love watching them root for one another.
It is always a good day to be a Broken Bow Savage! ❤️
A message from Mrs. Thomas
The All State Honor Choir Auditions happen to be both one of my most loved and hated events of the season. I love it for the things it brings out in my students. It brings growth, dedication, and great effort. I hate it for what it can sometimes steal from a student when things don’t go their way. It can steal confidence and bring self doubt. In the eloquent words of Kelby Fletcher, “No one’s talent is defined by the degree to which they are able to impress a judge or a panel of judges in a single moment in time. “ I also try to always tell students who sing solos for me at various contests. It’s one single attempt, the outcome of which is determined by numerous variables, some of which are completely out of the the student’s control. I respect those who show courage enough to give their all to the process just as much as I respect those who bring home the medal or the title. If they made it to the final round and got to compete today, then they proved themselves to be some of the best of the best before they even walked into an audition room today. Congratulations to each and every singer who auditioned today.
“It’s a blip in time. Celebrate if you made it. Learn and grow from it if you didn’t. And carry on in pursuing this thing that you love because whether or not your name will appear on a particular roster in January, the gift your Father has given to you is no less yours today than it was a month ago.” ❤️
