🍢Mrs. Carrell's 6th grade FACS class spent the week engineering and setting off marshmallow launchers. Their FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) class has partnered with the OKC Thunder to participate in their community program "Devon Thunder Explorers" and will be completing stem (science, technology, engineering, math) projects. Students in the 6th grade FACS had fun trying to make the basketball goal with their launcher.

🏈Savage Varsity Football (0-1) visits Durant (0-1) tonight for a non-conference matchup against the Class 5A Lions. Durant lost a nail-biter to the Ada Cougars in week 0 and are looking to rebound in their homecoming game this week. The Savages were their own worst enemy in McAlester last Friday with 150 yards in penalties, two costly interceptions, and nine dropped passes in a 37-26 loss to the Buffaloes. Savage Head Coach Maverick Lang says his team has put in the extra work to correct those mistakes this week and are prepared to spoil the Lions' Homecoming. Join us at the game or catch all the action on our YouTube livestream @brokenbowsavages tonight. The game kicks off at 7:30 P.M. at Paul Laird Field on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. #SavageFootball #AlwaysSavage
