MEET THE SAVAGES! Junior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back Victor Silva and his teammates had a bizarre experience at Idabel Friday night. After multiple delays for lightning near (and over) the Idabel Stadium, the game finally kicked off at 9:15pm. Not quite halfway through the first quarter, with then game still tied 0-0, the light grid went out and the game was cancelled. Victor and his teammates will have an off week before traveling to Madil to begin District play on September 22nd. "I would like to thank everyone who attended the game last night for their patience during the delays and cancellation. I know sometimes it can seem inconvenient but we will always keep the safety of our students and fans as a priority above everything else. It was the decision of both schools that the game will not be rescheduled. Our next game will be 9/22/23 at Madill as the Savages will start their journey to win the 4A -4 District Title. Tonight's Football Game at Idabel is delayed by a thunderstorm. The game will begin when the officials declare an all clear and the teams have had a chance to warm up. Expect it to be at least 45 minutes to one hour minimum.
