Broken Bow ESports officially kicked off our Spring season today with Overwatch 2 matches. Team Alpha won against Glenpool and fell to Shawnee in a nail-biting close match. Team Omega won a 2-0 match against Altus, a forfeit match against ASTEC Charter School, but fell just a little short to MacArthur High School. I forgot to get pictures, but the team is excited and learning from our losses. We're ready to keep this season going! This Monday, Broken Bow will host our first Mario Kart tournament for schools all over Southeastern Oklahoma, with over 60 students competing! It's a great day to be a Savage!

Today these 3 students took a trip to Moore for their Teach Ag Day.
They played ag teacher charades, ag teacher bingo, and had to put certain deadlines and events in order by their date.
Lastly, they listened to several guest speakers who have major impacts on Oklahoma agriculture education and Oklahoma FFA.
They learned a lot!

Outstanding performance in athletics takes talent, but it is also a product of years of practice. Despite being Freshmen, Tyson Woolsey and Greydon Howell have already put in countless hours honing their skills since they were old enough to hold a basketball. That work paid off last night as the young leaders paced their teams to two big wins against good Poteau teams and combined for a remarkable 62 points. Congratulations to the Broken Bow basketball teams and all the student-athletes who earn their accolades through sweat and dedication. Homecoming begins tomorrow night (Tuesday) at the Broken Bow Gym! the Hoco ceremony will take place at 6:00 PM with the introduction of the Homecoming Court and the crowning of the 2023-24 Homecoming Queen, followed by the tip-off of the Girls' Varsity game against Poteau at 6:30 and the Boys Varsity game immediately after the conclusion of the girls game. The homecoming ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23rd. The homecoming basketball games will be played starting at 6:30 against the Poteau Pirates in the Sports Complex.
Today's basketball games vs Valliant are a go! Tip-off is at 5:00pm. Boys at Home. Girls at Valliant. 7th, 8th, and 9th grade.
