ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT As many of you are now aware, the position of Head Football Coach at Broken Bow High School was recently vacated. Broken Bow Savage Football has a long and celebrated tradition of excellence in our state, and it comes as no surprise that several promising candidates have already expressed interest in the open position. It is our belief that this vacancy will be filled within the next few days. A parent meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 13th, at 6:30 PM in the football fieldhouse. It is our sincere hope that this meeting will be an introduction of the new varsity coaching staff for the 2024 football season. Regardless, this meeting will still be held and will address the current status of our football program. All parents and guardians of participating athletes are encouraged to attend. The members of the School Board and Administration of Broken Bow Public Schools are committed to excellence within our school system in all areas of academics, arts, athletics, and other extracurricular activities. We are confident that our football program will be represented by leadership with the highest integrity, strong morals, and an unwavering dedication towards maximizing the potential of our student athletes. Follow this social media stream, or our live feed on the BB Savages mobile app, for more information and schedule updates regarding upcoming events such as equipment check outs, spring practice and our annual Black and Gold Scrimmage. Our Savage Tradition is built on community loyalty, school pride, and individual dedication. Change is inevitable but tradition perseveres. Today Mr. Hall’s #aviation class had some visitors drop by in their helicopter! A big thanks to Sky Tours of Hochatown for landing their helicopter at the high school and talking to our students about the aviation industry and their journey in becoming a pilot. They let students climb in the cockpit and talked to them about their aircraft including the engine compartment, controls, and flight safety checks. This was an awesome experience for our students! #SavageAviation Sky Tours Hochatown

🩺☑️That’s a wrap! With the great help of the staff from McCurtain County Medical Clinic, Coaches, and Administrators we were able to wrap up physicals today! 📌There will be no physicals on Thursday and if any students still need physicals they can pick a form up in their school office and schedule with their health care provider.

With that, Savage #Esports is done for the season. We went against undefeated Lawton MacArthur and walked away with a loss, earning the title of state runner up in our division. We're not hanging our head in shame because we did more than we ever thought we could. This season has been full of ups and downs, but these kids have made it one of the best experiences of my life. 🎮Today, senior and Team Captain Hunter Haltom played his final game for Broken Bow High School. He pushed his team and challenged them and made sure we showed positivity and good sportsmanship to our opponents. Hunter is one of five seniors we are saying good bye to this year. William Kemp, Jai'lin Scales, Trace Mulkey, and Andy Le will be entering the next stage of their lives and it's with a bittersweet heart that we say good bye and good luck! Issac Harris joined us as thanks for his assistance in setting up our Savage Stream. We couldn't bring your Broken Bow Savages to your home without his help! Finally, I want to thank the parents, community, administration, and teachers that make what we do possible. Without them, we'd never make it as far as we have! I want to end with a brief sneak peek of what we have planned for Fall 2024. While I'm still making plans to make our team grow bigger and better, here's just a sample: We are getting PCs! Thank you to Ms. Ellisor, Mr. Hanks and our wonderful administration! You make Teacher Appreciation a year long event! We are expected to nearly double our team numbers next year! Almost every game we play will be streamed, run primarily by students! We are planning an in-person tournament to bring players from all over Oklahoma to our community! More details will be given as they become more clear, but one thing is assured: Broken Bow Savage Esports is just getting started!💥
