🏈Savage Varsity Football (0-1) visits Durant (0-1) tonight for a non-conference matchup against the Class 5A Lions. Durant lost a nail-biter to the Ada Cougars in week 0 and are looking to rebound in their homecoming game this week.
The Savages were their own worst enemy in McAlester last Friday with 150 yards in penalties, two costly interceptions, and nine dropped passes in a 37-26 loss to the Buffaloes.
Savage Head Coach Maverick Lang says his team has put in the extra work to correct those mistakes this week and are prepared to spoil the Lions' Homecoming.
Join us at the game or catch all the action on our YouTube livestream @brokenbowsavages tonight. The game kicks off at 7:30 P.M. at Paul Laird Field on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. #SavageFootball #AlwaysSavage

🥎It's Game Day and Savage Softball is headed north for a crucial district doubleheader!
Four of the five remaining battles in Broken Bow's quest for the 4A-6 District Championship will be played on the road in the next 12 days, beginning with today's doubleheader in Ft. Gibson. The team also travels to Sallisaw and Poteau before closing district play at home on Tuesday, September 24th, against Poteau.
Broken Bow and Stigler are currently atop the 4A-6 leaderboard with only one district loss each. The Savages lost in extra innings at Stigler in the second game of the regular season, but got their revenge the following week with an exciting 4-3 victory at home. The Panthers play three of their final four district games at home, but must still play Checotah twice. The Lady Cats were also atop the district with only one loss before losing both games of a doubleheader in Broken Bow on Tuesday.
If Broken Bow and Stigler both win their remaining district games, the point differential in district play will decide the district championship. Broken Bow currently holds the tie-breaker advantage by a 15 run margin.
The action begins in Ft. Gibson at 4:00 P.M. today.
