Broken Bow Public Schools are back in session for the 2024-25 academic year and the excitement, enthusiasm, and school spirit being exhibited is remarkable. School Superintendent Carla Ellisor made her traditional rounds to the various school campuses on Thursday to greet students upon their return to school and was again reminded of how rewarding it is to be in the “kid business” at Broken Bow Public Schools.

Ms. Ellisor says that she is extremely fortunate to work with the caliber of people employed by the school district and is especially grateful for all the wonderful students enrolled this year.  “The level of school pride and enthusiasm shows up in the details,” says Ellisor. “It’s in all the colorful and thoughtful decorations in our classrooms, in the sharply dressed teachers and students walking our hallways and, most of all, it’s in the bright smiles and genuine kindness we show towards one another each day. It feels like we have a lot of momentum going into the new school year. It truly is an exciting time to be a Savage.”

Attention to detail is also obvious in the facilities this year. Fresh paint and new flooring are on display in several areas around the school district and a new running surface at the track complex awaits students as well. Construction also continues on a new vocational agriculture complex with completion expected during the first semester. Innovative new programs are being introduced, along with enhancements to existing programs and upgrades to equipment and technologies all around the school district.

“Broken Bow is a special place,” says Superintendent Ellisor. “I am so thankful for our entire school family, and I feel so blessed to have this job that I love so much. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of this outstanding organization, and I look forward to the many successes and accomplishments in the year ahead.”
