Welcome Back, Savages!! We are incredibly excited to begin another year at Rector Johnson Middle School! This year will hold new opportunities for all of our students as we strive to make things even better than they’ve been before. As we begin the school year, we encourage our Savages to be involved in and connected to what our school currently has to offer. We have many extra-curricular organizations for students to become part of. We also provide meaningful and engaging curriculum in our classrooms so that students will remain challenged, engaged, and interested. We will continue to build upon an already solid educational foundation. We know the importance of self-reflection and its importance in professional growth. Our mission still involves remaining “committed to an education environment of high expectations that provides the opportunity to acquire and apply the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet the challenges in an ever-changing society.”
Our family of highly qualified professional educators is committed to providing RJMS students with many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. We hope that whenever possible you will take part in the many extra-curricular events that occur throughout the school year in support of your student. Also, please work in partnership with us to seize opportunities in all areas of your child’s school life including, but not limited to, academics, athletics, and fine arts.
Finally, please know that communication is key between school and home. It is absolutely necessary for your child’s overall success this year. Please keep the lines of communication open and don’t hesitate to reach out to us when/if the need arises. It is easy to stay informed of school events, deadlines, homework, grades, discipline, and attendance by using the resources provided on our school website.
We are looking forward to a wonderful new school year and in working together to make RJMS a wonderful place to learn and to work every day!
Sincerely,
Jarod Bible, Principal of Discipline
